Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new graphics card (Powercolor RX6600 Fighter) for 1080p gaming.

However after playing a couple of games i noticed a big fps difference between the benchmarks of other people and my own.

As you can see in the video above, this guy manages to get around 80fps average on Days Gone while i am only getting 56 fps average. I don't think that this difference is normal and something must be going wrong. These numbers cannot be acceptable. I am getting my fps numbers from the AMD Adrenaline software but i believe them to be accurate.

I am linking this guy's video because i am also using very similar processor (Ryzen 5 5600). The rest of my setup is Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite Motherboard Micro ATX and G.SKILL DDR4 DIMM 16GB DDR4-3200 RIPJAWS.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. What GPU were you working with prior to the RX6600?

At 1080p processor does most work and yours has 200MHz handicap against 5600X at start and you don't know how optimized is his and we don't know what is optimization state of yours. Yours could be even 500MHz behind. There's also question of RAM performance.

which is using the R5 3600. Which is for sure a worse CPU than mine, and still he is getting 80-90 fps average on ultra.
