Using Windows XP Pro with SP2. Began receiving error message under RUNDLL
window stating the module NvQTwk could not be found on startup of my profile.
When I take the RUNDLL out of the startup no error occurs. What is the
problem and how can I fix it?

That file is part of a utility that allows you to change your
display settings. The program usually appears as an icon in the
Notification area (next to the clock). You can usually access the
same settings through the Display applet in Control Panel.

Here's some info on that file:

http://startup.iamnotageek.com/srch-RUNDLL32.EXE%20NvQtwk,%20NvCplDaemon.html

Usually you see this error message after an antivirus or
antispyware scan has removed a file it considers a pest. What it
leaves behind is an entry in your registry to run the program at
startup. Since the program is no longer on the computer you get
that error message.

My best guess is that you have an NVIDIA display adapter
installed. The configuration utility for that adapter was
installed at some point in time. You recently ran a scan that
classifies that file as a threat and deleted it. You can try
reinstalling the software that came with the video card to
restore the utility. Or, if you find that the Display applet in
Control Panel provides access to all the settings available for
your adapter, edit the registry to remove the problem entry. To
do that you would do the following:

Go to Start -> Run and enter regedit in the Open box.
Click OK.
Navigate to these keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Look in the right hand pane for the entry that refers to that
file and right click on it.
Select Delete from the drop down menu.
Close the registry editor.
Reboot and see if that error message still shows up.
