ryzen 1700 and 350 motherboard

i have an ryzen 2200 with an rx 580 on a gigabyte 350 motherboard..can i put a ryzen 1700 in the motherboard it was pretty cheap.....it is a lot faster than the 2200 and is on sale for 200 dollARS...Peter A Topeka Kansas

Yes, you can put a 1700 in that mobo with no problems. But I dont think $200 is really a great price for Topeka Kansas. You can get a 2600 for less than that and it will have better gaming performance than the 1700. You would need a bios update to run the 2600, but it will work.

I agree with feelinfroggy, I should also mention that the Ryzen 1700X is under $200, it's like $170. So R7 1700 not the best deal around anymore.

But for gaming, R5 2600 or 2600X is the best ATM.
