Ryzen 2200g no boot due to 2800MHz RAM?

Motherboard is b350 PC Mate MSI board (flashed to BIOS E7A34AMS.AC0) and boots up fine with Ryzen's boot kit.
When I put in the Ryzen 2200g it passes POST but no display comes on. Would it be due to the RAM stick's frequency? Patriot Memory 8GB Viper Elite Series DDR4 2800MHz.
It's the only thing I can think of but would rather check before buying more sticks.
Thanks!

Solution
It should default to 2133 or 2400MHz anyway depending on particular RAM. Try resetting CMOS, turn off powers source as soon as it starts up and after few minutes it should load defaults and ask you to press F1.
