I have a ryzen 5 2600 with a MSI b450m pro m2. I am using crucial ballistix ram 2 x 8gb.
The EZ debug LED lights up on VGA and I have not gotten any display, the monitor doesn't seem to be receiving any output from the motherboard. I just put it together today. And I am not using a GPU.

Do you know why this could be? Is a cpu bent pin a possible cause to this problem? This is my first time with AMD.

Solution
Well, yes and no. To game immediately, having the 2200g with Vega will have you up and running. BUT, you have an excellent CPU in the 2600, and if you add a decent GPU will be a kick ass gaming machine. So, get a new GPU and you will be good to go for some great gaming :)

DO you have a budget you can spend on a GPU?

Hello. Do you happen to have a graphics card hooked up to your computer? The Ryzen 5 2600 does not have any integrated graphics, which means that unless you have a graphics card, you will not see any display.

Seems to be a common mistake. The motherboard has no onboard graphics and only some CPUs do (2200G, 2400G, etc).
The connectors on the motherboard are there in case you have one of the supported APUs (CPU with graphics - AMDs term for them) and do nothing if you do not.

My plan was to start with a apu system and add a gpu months down the road. So the budget for now is null. But i will probably just return the chip and get the 2200G. I took a year off gaming so I think I dove in with to little knowledge. Thank you all for the help.

No worries. You're welcome. But if I can offer some advice. The R5 2600 is a GREAT chip. Extremely capable at all tasks. Along with a good GPU, like a GTX1050ti/RX570 you would have a really good gaming machine.

Swapping out the 2600 for the 2200g, even with the APU aspect, is a big step back in gaming terms. If you were able to spend/save/get donated to! :) about $150-200 for something like this:

You really would have a very capable machine for gaming/streaming and anything else you'd like to throw at it! Just a thought...
