I'm not having any performance issues, I was just wondering if the two components were good for each other for gaming. I've heard that some combinations could bottleneck one or the other so I was just looking for some insight. Thanks.

A 2700X pairs well with a 2070S.

Sure, you might see a few extra frames here or there with an alternate CPU (especially at 1080p), but it's not going to be the difference of one experience being "good" and the other "bad".

A 2700X also tends to be substantially cheaper than any CPU that would achieve 'better' overall framerates - like a 9700K etc.

Bottlenecks are way too overblown and very all the time. Some games may leverage your cpu more and the cpu will start to be heavily utilized. Some games may rely more on the gpu and the gpu may be heavily utilized.

There shouldnt be any big bottlecks overall in that system as the cpu and gpu are well paired.

Unless your experiencing performance issues, i wouldnt worry.
