Ryzen 3 1200 with windows 7/8?

The new ryzen cpus "only support windows 10". If you try to install win7 or 8 the usbs dont work. I was wondering if anyone has a way to use this cpu with win 7/8. prefered win7. I have an asrock ab350m pro4 mobo.

Just be warn, there are new CPU fixes that are not in windows 7, not sure about 8.

There is also an update for windows 7 that installs a nag screen saying “Your PC uses a processor that isn’t supported on this version of Windows”.

I'm running windows7 on ryzen 7 1700 and am just installing "security only" updates manually. but to be clear, I don't recommend that, just saying.

Your motherboard does have PS/2 inputs for both keyboard and mouse, so you should be ok installing windows 7 should you decide to give it a go.

Do you need to install security updates or can you just get an antivirus program? Also i have a ps/2 keyboard and mouse so if i did install windows how can i install the usb drivers?

go with win 10 for ryzen and security update are made for the os and does not have anything related to virus softwares .

no you still need windows security updates.

Have a read of the link posted above, it explains that the problem is getting usb keyboards and mice to work without drivers. if you have PS/2 keyboard and mouse, you don't have the problem.

I've read the above link and i have a ps/2 keyboard but my main keyboard is usb. Is there a youtube video on how to install windows 7 or 8 on ryzen?
