Question ryzen 3 1300x compatible with asrock 760gm-hdv mtoheroard?

So im buying a second hand ryzen 3 1300x , im just wondering if my current motherboard the asrock760gm-hdv is going to be compatible with it? i currently have an amd fx6300 in my motherboard.

The ryzen 3 1300x is working only on AM4 motherboard! Your motherboard is AM3+ so there's no way ryzen 3 1300x will work on your motherboard... Look at a B450 chipset motherboard instead

the ryzen uses a socket called am4, this old motherboard uses am3+, not physically or software compatible

sell the old 760 with the cpu, but sell a fx combo is hard these days with the great prices of old ryzens

if you bought the ryzen, buy a new motherboard, a decent b450 and 8 or 16gbs of ram, ddr4, because the ram of the old 760 is ddr3, and is not compatible with a new cpu and motherboard

remember to buy a ram kit, 2 modules of 4 gbs or 8 gbs, depends on your budget, at least at 2667mhz

if the psu is from the era you bought the fx, around 5 years ago, consider also changing the psu, if it is a low quality psu, after many years it might not be good to use more time
