I have no idea what is wrong with my cpu but, when I play a game for 5-10 minutes, it just crashes. I updated the drivers for the cpu also. Would really appreciate some help!

System Specs:
Ryzen 3 2200G @3.7ghz
Vega 8 iGPU @1100mhz (stock)
Asrock AB350M Pro4 Motherboard
320gb laptop hard drive (getting WD Blue 1tb later)
Corsair CX500 Power Supply

OEM cpu cooler??

Is it fitted correctly, fan clean and turning freely??

5-10 minutes into a game sounds like a heat issue; also check BIOS to make sure it isnt set incorrectly, and you have the latest version suitable for the cpu.

Yes, without playing a game, it is running perfectly fine.

Yes, cooler is fitted correctly at least from what I can see. It is also turning freely. Check bios to make sure what isn't set correctly?

When you say crash, what exactly happens when the problem arises?

Are you getting a blue screen? Reboot? Black screen / unresponsive?

Also, install the utility HWMonitor and post your CPU temperature during idle and under load.

The game just crashes. Ok I’ll install it and update you.

Is it just the game that crashes? Windows remains responsive?

Yes, just the game crashes and Windows remains responsive.

I have H1Z1 which I haven’t tested yet because I just downloaded it, Fortnite crashes, Trove crashes, and Roblox and Minecraft seem to be pretty stable.

Try drivers direct from amd and not your motherboard manufacture.
There has just been a update the week for that cpu.
I had very strange behaviour whilst using lightroom on my build using drivers from asrock which are 4 months old getting the ones from amd solved the issue for me.
Also there is a known issue with 2200g and 2400g where the built in Vega graphics can clock down below 300mhz this has been fixed with agesa 1.0.0.2 but we need to wait for our motherboard manufactures to roll this bios update out.
Thanks

I got my drivers from AMD Radeon Software and, for another odd reason, my gfx clock speed won't go any higher than stock (1100mhz) even though, I apply 1300mhz in ryzen master and inside the BIOS. A solution to that would be helpful too but, am more concerned about the game crashing.

EDIT: I also haven't installed any drivers from my motherboard manufacturer. Could that be the problem or does motherboard drivers even affect performance.

If you haven't installed any drivers from motherboard manufacturer, that very well could be the problem.

Ok, I'll try that! Thanks
