We have 3 systems in the house, 2 are R5 2600 based, both with 16Gb DDR4 3200 (albeit one is HyperX Predator and the other Corsair Vengeance Pro) and a smaller R3 2200G based cube that my son uses fir homework and the occasional blast of Minecraft. It only has 2 x 4Gb 2666MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX.
Recently, I upgraded the RAM on my system from 3000MHz to 3200MHz and all is good... BUT, when I went to pop the 3000MHz 2 x 8Gb (Corsair Vengeance LPX) into the cube system to freshen it up... did mot like. 4 long beeps and EZDebug flashed CPU. Pop that RAM in the R5 systems, coolio. Pop back in R3 system., not a chance. 2666 sticks work fine.
Is R3 2200G limited by RAM speed?
Full spec;

MB: MSI B450I Gaming Plus ITX AC
RAM: 2 x 4Gb Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz (want to go to 2 x 8Gb 3000 of same RAM type)

SSD: WD Green SATA SSD 120gGb
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200RPM

Any ideas or advice?
