Question Ryzen 3 3700x stock prism cooler not working

Today we installed a ryzen 3 3700x in a asus strix b450 motherboard and it says that it was updated but the cooler does not work, when the connector is moved to a certain position it works but not when its all the way in. The cpu reaches 70c in the bios. Please help.

Do you mean to say the fan isn't working?

Double check your connector that it's on all the pins in the motherboard header. Also double check in BIOS that the CPU fan header is turned on and set to something above 0% or 0 Volts.

The fan only gives a little spurt when turned on and when the connecter is in a certain position.
