Hi, Right now I'm using Ryzen 1700 with MSI X370 SLI Plus. There's a BIOS update for my mainboard that enables Ryzen 3rd-gen support.
Now I want to know which configuration is better : 3700X with X370 chipset (current mainboard) or 3600 with decent, new X570 mainboard?
Please help :)

3700x with x370 is better.

Science studio tested a b350 board and 3900x and experienced full performance and no vrm issues. Your x370 board should be no different.

He even tested a 3900x on a low end a320 board with no vrm heatsyncs and it worked. The cpu has some issues tho. It wouldnt turbo over 3.8ghz and the vrms got insanely hot and throttled.

Hello and thanks for your reply.
I have 1 issue with my mainboard tho : POST time is relatively slow (~15 seconds) compared to my Intel system, before BIOS update it even reached ~30 seconds. Is this a CPU issue or from the mainboard?
