Hi all i want to upgrade my good old intel 5930k pc to an AMD 3700X with X570 Motherboard. My question now is will it be a bit future proof at the moment, meaning i can plug in a Ryzen 4000 series when it arrives? I just want one more upgrade path with this AM4 X570 motherboard i want to buy otherwise if i cannot i will stick with intel and buy a 9900k with Z390.So my question is simple will the Ryzen 4000 (or Zen3 or what is it called?) be compatible with AM4/X570. I think and hope Ryzen 4000 will be the last AM4 CPU and the 5000 series will require a new socket and will be DD5 and so on. Anyone know if this will be the case?

It would hard to fathom one feeling they needed upgrading in just a year's time if purchasing a 3700X...

We don't upgrade merely because something else that is faster is out....do we? :) (your 5930K lasted you sefveral years, where you resisted X299 and 6900, 7900, etc, right?)

I'd imagine the next upgrade would need to bring 20% increases to the table to be noteworthy, be it a combination of IPC tweaks/gains, clock speed gains, increased RAM clocks and/or DDR5, etc...
