I want to choose a cpu from these 3 options, ryzen 5 2400G at 140 euros, Ryzen 5 1600 at 149 euros and ryzen 5 1600X at 149.70 euros. which option should I go for here? and is asus b450-M motherboard ok for the cpu or should i consider something else? I would love to get some professional opinion on cpu from the mentioned ones and motherboard combo.

thank you in advance!

Well if you are going with the Ryzen 5 2400G you don't need a graphic card but if you went with any of the rest you'll need a graphic card to get an output.
Also depending on your power supply is it good or not.
You should also consider buying a compatible ram that is supported by your motherboard and which ever ryzen processor you'll buy.

Edit:

Can you include a link to your motherboard? because i can't find the exact model of your motherboard, so i can check.

Well according to pc part picker and after reviewing your motherboard supporting list, any of the 3 processors will work just fine.
But if you'll go with the none-G series then you will need a graphic card to get an output.

Also consider buying a support ram buy your motherboard:

Check the PDF's in that site and see the ram's that are compatible with your motherboard.

Note:
Forgot to mention, the ryzen 5 1600X does not come with a wraith cooler, so you should consider buying a good CPU cooler.

apart from integrated graphic do they have any significant performance difference or all 3 of them perfomr pretty much identical?

its simple, you plan on getting GPU or not?

if you plan on getting GPU dont buy 2400G.
if you dont plan on getting GPU 2400G is your only choice.
if you plan on getting GPU like 1660ti or better in next 6months dont buy 2400G its 4c,4t.
if you plan on getting GPU like 1050ti or 1650 in next 6months then get 2400G.
if you already got something like 750ti and dont plan to get something like 1660Ti or better get 2400G

-among 1600 and 1600x, you need to remember 1600x dont come with a cooler and it need a decent cooler so you looking at 150euro for 1600 and about 200-220 euro for 1600x.
so its about do you need that extra 400mhz 1600x offer over 1600? also you can always over clock 1600 and get 150-200mhz even in stock cooler.

All Ryzens are overclockable with unlocked multiplier but amount of OC can vary. Although some were able to OC non-x models to equivalent x processors boost values and so save some money, x CPUs have a nice automatic boost that coupled with good MB can produce some 5 - 10% lower results than best possible OC on that model.
For that reason I always suggest an x Ryzen over non-x model. No sweat performance.
