Question Ryzen 5 2600 and msi a320m bazooka

I’m having trouble getting to the bios menu to flash the bios update for the processor. All my fans and lights turn on. The cpu debug led is on witch I would expect without the update. I just want to find a way that doesn’t involve getting another cpu to do the update on.

Msi a320m bazooka motherboard
Ryzen 5 2600 cpu
(2x 8gb) Corsair vengeance lpx ram 3000MHz
600wt powersupply pulled from working rig.

It's unfortunate, do need 1st series Ryzen cpu to do the bios update. Sorry to say.

Possible work arounds

Short term cpu loan from Amd
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

Visit a PC/repair store for them to flash bios

Or buy a 400 series motherboard

You should buy B450 or X470 to use maximum efficiency with ryzen 5 2600, maybe, You have been" lulled" by the seller .....

Like Boju's advice, you can contact AMD to borrow 1st ryzen AMD kit to update bios, and then, the new bios will compatible with ryzen 5 2600,
I met the same situation with r3 2200g and B350 and i fix easy at MSI Service Center.

I just went a bought a Asus x470. It was my fault to try to skimp on the motherboard. Thanks guys for the advice.

You can overclock (OC) Ryzen 5 2600 on Asus B470 to increase performance, . It 's great, very easy.
