I'm building a new system with a Ryzen 5 3400G and ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0. I updated the BIOS using a Ryzen 2700, verified that the BIOS version was 2.30, then installed the 3400G and removed the temporary GPU that I was using. I turned it on, and the computer ran normally but there was nothing on monitor. I tried resetting the CMOS by jumping CLRCMOS, then removing the CMOS battery multiple times. I switched back to the dedicated GPU, and that didn't work. I tried booting with a single RAM stick with the same result.
Finally, I reinstalled the 2700, and it worked again. It certainly seems to be a compatibility issue.g
