Question Ryzen 5 3600x no display need help!

So my buddy upgraded from a ryzen 5 1600x to a ryzen 5 3600x had it for 6 months and it died so he contacted amd and they replaced it for him. Now when he puts in the new 3600x he gets no display and the LED boot lights on his mobo stops at cpu and doesn't go through the rest of the boot but when he puts his old 1600x back in everything works just fine. So far I have gotten him to update bios, roll back bios to earlier versions, made sure all mobo and gpu drivers are up to date, remove cmos battery, and reseat the cooler. If anyone has suggestions that would help!

ok we'll try that I usually don't do the beta version bios updates so hopefully that's it. thanks for the help man

It is a R5 3600X supported since BIOS 7A33v1J
