This is self explanatory, I don’t know if I should get the 5 8500g or 5 4500 with rx 580 (2048sp) for a $600 budget.
AM4

AM5

AM4 With keyboard and mouse($35.99 attack shark combo {AMZ}), monitors(X2 Dell Office Xtreme Edition 1440p 160hz {trade with my mom for a $50 office monitor}), mic (AliExpress free gift), and headset (AMZ $12.99) it equals to $603.87 while AM5 with the same items equal to about $623.65. Pls tell me which I should go for, I wanna play AAA games at 1080p at 60, Fort 1440p at ~80, Random Rumble 2K Satanic settings at ~160, and video edit.

In all honesty, you're wasting resources with an RX580 in 2025.

You're purposely crippling your build by going with an entry level ram kit. AM5 loves DDR5-6000MHz. Motherboard without a proper VRM design = no, no. The Q300L is also known to be a hot box, so you're looking for an excuse to kill your hardware over a long period of time and you'll be buying another PC soon after or merely dealing with headaches/grey hairs or worse trying to troubleshoot a sluggish system.

Horrible PSU.

Just a word of advice, you're still churning out threads that are practically a waste of resources. You won't hear anything different from someone else.

Then stylize a follow up post within this thread with info asked of in this thread;
If people will think it's worthwhile their time, they will chime in with suggestions otherwise like your prior threads, they'll go belly up.

considering you want to be at 1440p gaming + do video editing. This isn't set in stone but merely a template of what you need. Others will chime in with their takes on the matter. Till then, I'd advise on saving up the money. Best build your system right from the start instead of cutting corners.

HAve you looked into's Minisforum's BD-790i ?

Awesome little 16-CORE system that goes for $400-ish these days. It has onboard iGPU, but that one is small, meant for office work although it has media acceleration.

You could go for one of these, a couple of SODIMM RAM sticks and probalbly use your old box and PSU just fine.

Over time you can decide when to upgrade with cheap dGPU, like Intel B580 or upcoming RX9060, perhaps some old RX66xx etc etc.
