Hi Folks, Thanks for allowing me to pop in and ask question straight off the bat.
Hoping someone can clarify this. I've started assembling some parts that was originally for an upgrade on an older system but I wanting to now make it a standalone fresh build.
I have an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max II as was originally recommended by a PC builder friend of mine to pair with a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. After doing some research on userbenchmark I saw that the Ryzen 5 5600X has superseded the 3600X. I believe the Motherboard is a 2nd gen as advertised at the site I bought it on. Should the the 5600X be a straight substitute for the 3600X to the fit the MB or do I need to get a B550 board to accept the 5600X?
