Ryzen 7 1700 without Gpu will it work?

I was thinking of buying a ryzen 7 system. Some people say that it will work with the on board graphics of the motherboard if that's true will it work with ASUS MOTHERBOARD PRIME X370-PRO? So will it work without a gpu. I was thinking of buying a gtx 1070 but it's better to wait for rx Vega. So what's your opinion? Will it work without cpu then i can buy an rx Vega...?

Ryzen doesn't have on-board GPU. So unless you plan to use it as a headless server, you will want a GPU.

The on-board video ports are only usable with an APU processor that includes built-in graphics

No Ryzen does not have onboard graphics. Their APU lineup will have onboard graphics and that is coming out later this year (that is what the display connectors on the motherboard are for)

no, the intergrated GPU is typically on the die of the CPU. The Ryzen series does not have an iGPU. Motherboards don't come with their own iGPU. You will need to buy discrete card to run it
