i dont know why but in the last two onth my cpu is always on 80-95c and before that i literaly do nothing to my pc, I try to chage the cooling system for another the cpu for the 7 3700 and nothing, and i cant even watch a video before my pc power off cause overheating. I buy the best thermal paste from grizzly and nothing, i dont know if it is the thermostat from my motherboard or maybe the psu that make strange sounds but that was five months ago, so i dont know, any help pls?

Check the socket for any damage and debris.

What CPU cooler are you using?

The thermal sensors are located in the CPU and it sounds like you've tried two different CPUs so poor reporting is unlikely. While there may be a problem with the power supply it's not going to cause a CPU to run hot. If your cooling solution is good then the next logical problem point would be the motherboard itself.

What cooler are you using? I tried grizzly kryonaut once and didn’t care for it. Personally I’ve gotten to where I like Arctic mx5.

As far as coolers, I like the Thermalright peerless assassin. About 35 bucks, but it is a decent cooler. I’ve got one on my 12600kf and it keeps it nice and cool.

I will check the socket tomorrow, thx for the idea.
I use the MSI coreliquid 360r
And yes I tried 2 CPUs, I'm gonna check the socket and see, if not, I try to change the motherboard, I have 2 semi identical pcs so is not gonna be a problem for parts XD

Thermal paste: grizzly kryonaut extreme
Now and because I need to change so many times the parts I buy the grizzly kryosheet but that's only for the test I planned to buy a good thermal paste once I figure out the problem .
The cooler is not the problem but thx I'm gonna try the artic mx5 once I know my problem

Barring something being broken with the mounting mechanism that's way more than enough of a cooler assuming it's not clogged (MSI had issues with some of theirs). Seems like it most likely is the motherboard though given what you've done so far.

Arctic replaced MX-5 with MX-6 after what sounded like some quality control problems (I have MX-5 which is from a good batch and it's great). I'd strongly recommend going with MX-6 still just for longevity sake unless you want to go with something more exotic like a PTM7950 based pad or a fresh kryosheet (reusing them isn't great from what Roman has indicated).

Big thing with Grizzly was how you are supposed to spread it with their little plastic deal. Personally with the mx5 when I’ve bought that, put about a pea size dot in the center, and I like using a finger to spread it over the cpu. It usually gives enough for a few applications.

Also make sure you take the plastic off the bottom of your heatsink. Made that rookie mistake once and wondered why my cpu was running so warm.

The cooler is ok cause I change for a cougar aqua 240 and have sightly the same temperature, a little bit more with the cougar.
The motherboard have 3 years so is gonna be that.
In other posts I read that maybe is the windows so maybe if nothing work I reinstall the windows.

Xdd don't worry for the plastic, I have the cooler for 3 years and everything work fine until 2 months ago. But thx
