Hi ! In the market for a new cpu, preferably Ryzen 7 5700x or Ryzen 7 5800x, Where i'm from these 2 cpu's are only like $15-20 difference.
I'm running a b450 motherboard, a 650w PSU and a Wraight Prism cpu cooler, With some reaserch I found out that the 5700x has a lower TDP/power draw then the 5800x but the 5800x is better performing, my question is since there is not that big of a price gap between the 2 cpus and the 5800x is better in a sense, will I be good to go with the 5800x CPU with my current setup without needing to upgrade the PSU or Cpu cooler to not have issues with the new processor (For at least a little bit of time) or should I just go with the 5700x to be on the safe side ?

I have to note that I'm also running a msi 3060ti gaming z trio.

I read an article today that indicated that the 5xxx series are supposed to go on a big sale in the early part of Dec. They specifically mentioned the 5700X. The 5800X was on a great deal for Black Friday, sub $200 in the US on Amazon, but they sold out pretty quickly at that price point.

Since I'm from europe and do not have acces to bigger distributors due to high shipping prices, I'm forced to stick with the local shops which rarely put out discounds and lower prices, would just like to know what to go for, If i have to upgrade the cpu cooler or PSU for the 5800x I'd rather sell what I have now and go for the AM5 platform, want to squeeze out a couple of years with this rig with minimal upgrades after the CPU since it's doing the job for me with what I do.

The Wraith Prism is going to have a hard time with the 5800X, so if you want to keep everything and just upgrade the CPU, get the 5700X.

5700x is very close to 5800x in performance (some 100-200MHZ at boost) which needs serious cooling). 5700c doesn't include cooler because Wraith Prism is not good enough but any aftermarket air cooler in range of CM 212 Evo should be enough.

You could run the 5800x in eco mode in Ryzen Master and it's essentially a 5700x.

I have my 5700x undervolted and overclocked, it scores slightly higher than a stock 5800x now. It will run hot on benchmarks with a Deepcool AS500 Plus CPU cooler. 73C ish. In games it's still under 50C.

The wraith spire cooler is terrible, might be best to save up to get a better cooler and either CPU at the same time.

For games though, reality is there is a 0-3fps difference between the two CPU's.
