You might have some misconception about cores and threads.is this safe more my cpu to always be on this?
SMT disables threads not cores, game will still use cores.I most play Call of Dute MW2 on my pc and i disabled smt and enabled PBO. Does mw2 rely on multithreaded cores?
You tried it both ways, I mean you did disable SMT after having it enabled, you tell us if you get higher FPS or not.would it be useful to have smt on ?
i have tried both and it does give more fps but the mw2 bench mark says the cpu is more of a bottleneck in 1080pYou tried it both ways, I mean you did disable SMT after having it enabled, you tell us if you get higher FPS or not.
Do you care more about the benchmark or more about how the game plays?i have tried both and it does give more fps but the mw2 bench mark says the cpu is more of a bottleneck in 1080p

Yeas, if you turn off the SMT the CPU will run at a higher percentage and so it will look like it is a higher bottleneck, but so what?! If the game plays better it plays better.
