[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800x high voltage

i have one month with this cpu (upgrade from ryzen 5 3600) and one thing i notice is that the voltage can get from 1.2v to 1.5v

Temps are good 53c idle and 72c gaming (outside temp is 30-35c).

I just want to know if is those high voltage are normal?

I have a custom water loop, maybe that allows the cpu runs so high voltage without damaging itself.

Yes...when it boosts to highest clocks it can spike voltage as high as 1.5V... maybe even a little bit over that if the CPU is very cool in temperature such as right after first start-up. Perfectly normal.

The CPU needs the voltage to achieve its boost clock speeds. This is by design.

Yes, quite within specs but if you are bothered you can try with some negative voltage offset
You can also try to run to run Core Optimizer (per core) from BIOS which senses and eventually lowers voltages according to load and temps.

Thanks. I was just worry cuz my old CPU never got higher than 1.3v but I know now that for 5800x is just normal. I will try some BIOS configuration.

Mine peaks at about 1.3v at full load with negative offset of -0.100v.
