Hi all,

I recently built my new pc and and had some previous issues with throttling, I’ve got the throttling issue fixed and now have been running Cinebench to stress test my CPU. (Ryzen 7 7800X3D)

I have not altered any BIOS Settings.

The package temp seems to Max out 82 C but average 80C on a full 114% load. Is this still too high? Or is this normal temp range and my pc is safe for gaming?

Thank you for your time.

To complex to say what exact numbers you should actually see. Depends on the cooler and the air temp in your room.

You are well below the thermal throttle limit. The cpu makers seem to be perfectly happy to have you run your cpu hot. They all say as long as it is not hitting the thermal limit it is good. It running constantly 1 degree below the thermal limit produces the same performance as it running 10 degrees below the limit. The maximum temp might be different if you were messing with overclock stuff but the x3d chips are already factory overclocked as high as you can go.
