This is a fairly recent build and having paid good money for Office 2021 I am getting a little tired of my system being used for marketing, I have no wish to buy 365 or upgrade to the 'new' Outlook, I had enough trouble getting the 25gb .PST file to work with classic Outlook 2021. When I clean installed Win 11 it insisted I create a 'computer name'@ outlook.com to preserve recovery password etc. for the Win 11 account. All well and good. What I didn't know was that as I installed the decades old huge .pst file that Win 11/Outlook would, unbidden, clone that pst file to the computer name'@ outlook.com which appears to reside on OneDrive and has blown its size limit to pieces. Other than the occasional whine that I need to pay money for the extra space it doesn't seem to affect email on the desktop based Outlook.
(I have Windows 10 on an I7-7700K desktop but no Office package and lacking the back-door TPM it is Win 11 incompatible so no real future here.)
I'd like to delete the Win 11 .pst file on Onedrive (and I'd also be happy to disable Onedrive) but I am reluctant to do this in case it decides to 'synchronise' things and delete/disable the desktop .pst file too.
I'd really value any help I can get; this all may seem a bit off-topic but I blame it all on Win 11 -and my unfortunate lack of experience with it.
