Question Ryzen Master

im new to the ryzen scene and got a 3600. i know it can boost a single core to 4.2ghz and i also know that it may not hit 4.2 im having issues understanding ryzen master overall.. it will only peg out at 3600... which i think is the base clock speed.... even while doing cinebench r15.. i can only get it over 3600 by manually setting it to that can someone help explain how to get PBO to do its job or at least get closer to the rated speeds when under load? thanks

ive tried that and it just wont boost past the base 3.6.. anyone in here have a discord they could video chat with me to help explain this better?

i figured it out it was windows changing my power plan to something else 😛

but i still have 1 curiosity. if i just let PBO do its own thing am i able to change the voltage somehow? i feel like its running high af.. i have the voltage locked to about 1.375ish i think and when i let it take full control it will hit near 1.5v just a little short of it anyway. i feel like that is way to high, considering im running 4.1ghz all core at 1.375 +/- a little.

specs are:
ryzen 5 3600
aorus pro wifi (bios version F6b from 9/17/19 AGESA Combo AM4 1.0.0.3)
EVGA 1070 hybrid (+120 core and +420 mem)
H100iV2 240mm AIO
trident RGB 3600 mhz ram kit
EVGA supernova G3 1000watt

Try setting voltage manually but that might limit PBO somewhat.

According to AMD the high idle voltages we are seeing are neccessary to stabilize the cpu under low current in low-load situations. I would leave it be.

so annoying having your fans ramp up briefly then back down was hoping to kinda have a fix for it.. oh well i guess

You could fix it with some kind of fan-delay. My asus bios allows for a delay for the fans to react to new temps. So they only ramp up after at least 15 sec of temp increase. On top of that you could add a hysteresis function. Should solve your problem.

Mine only allows 3 second delay 🙁
