Ryzen nvme + sata

Me buying a 960 evo 250 gig for his ryzen 1600 + rx 580 system and 1 2tb wd black 2tb drive.
Me forgetting nvme uses pcie lanes
Me seeing some stuff about pcie 2.0 2x and limiting the speed of the 960 evo to almost sata speeds.

Basicly. Does my setup with 1x sata drive and one 960 evo bottleneck my 960 evo and if it bottlenecks it in what aspect (booting/filetransfer or general usage like saving games and idk chrome)

It shouldn't bottleneck but more intriguingly, you forgot to mention the make and model of your motherboard since the board will have a specific slot you'd need to populate in order to get up and running.

You also mentioned the above quite vaguely, mind sharing where you've seen the NVMe drive running at SATA 6Gbps speeds(or did you mean lower)?

Sorry it is the msi b350 gaming pro carbon and no I don't have the build yet, but if I know if it will work or not I can cancel the order and get a cheaper ssd
