i bought 2 kinds of ram i dont see a noticable performance increase is there somethign behind the scenes i dont see that i should keep 1 over the other? i cap my FPS at 75 thats all my monitor is capable of so i dont ever go below maybe thats why i dont see the difference? or is it really that small i should save some cash. anyways below are the 2 i bought. the Vengeance i bought 2 months ago the LPX just last week so its still able to be returned, and its confirmed it is samsung B-die and im running a ryzen 5 2600.

Original Ram ( Not returnable)

New ram ( Samsung B-die returnable for 2 more weeks)

should i try and sell the RGB pro on facebook market or something. or is the difference not noticable enough i should just return the LPX and save some money. ive had the RGB pro on facebook since i got the LPX for $85 and no bites. FYI

Did you try to upgrade 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz to a new set of 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz? Why though? You could easily just manually overclock your RAM to 3200Mhz if you wish.

Your BIOS sets a default value for your RAM. They might both be running at 2933Mhz right now, that's the usual default with. That is if the ''XMP'' mode has been enabled for your RAM through the BIOS. Otherwise it might still be running at 2133 or 2400 Mhz.

Besides everything, you shouldn't really replace your 3000Mhz RAM. That's a waste of money. You can manually overclock your RAM for better results + a 200Mhz difference isn't a noticable amount especially if you didn't take CAS latency into account.

And plus all that, at 75Hz none of that really makes a difference either way. It only matters at peak unlocked framerates usually.

That’s all I needed. I’ll return the 3200 MHz ram. Thanks.

I only got it because I was experiencing massive frame drops every 10 min or so from 75 to the mid 40s and it froze my game for about 1 sec each time. I was testing to see if it was ram issue.

But upon further looking it seems like my gpu in task manager shows only 15% utilization where in hwmonitor it shows 100% which is weird but it makes sense that when there’s a lot of explosions or whatever it would caus ethe game to stutter. Then even out when the action settles down.

Still unsure why task manager doesn’t show correct gpu usage. I tried MSI afterburner but it won’t let me instal riva tuner says it’s not allowed every time I try. And it won’t let me bypass it even as admin.

The performance difference between DDR4 3000 and 3200 is minimal. Something like 2-3% which wouldn't be noticeable in anything but benchmarks. So, keep whatever is going to give you the most money and tweak on the RAM you have if you feel the need to squeeze out a little more performance.
