S.M.A.R.T hard drive found errors

I was trying to install windows 8.1 on my sony vaio e series model no-SVE151G13W it doesnt installs and the says S.M.A.R.T Hard drive found errors and doesnt not do anything further ...what to do next....does it means hard disk has stopped working???? Please give a solution.....

It most likely means your harddrive has failed. Replace and retry

Hi there Chandan S,

I would agree with unksol and say that there is something wrong with the HDD. The most probable cause for the S.M.A.R.T errors are the bad sectors. Though, this may not be the case. If still in warranty, it may be a good idea to contact the manufacturer's support.
