Just wondered how the game is for others who are running the sims2 on the
lower end of the minimum requirements?
This is what I have:
Intel Extreme Graphics Controller 82845
Video BIOS version 2759
Emachine T2240-XP home with SP1
Intel Celeron 2.19 GHz
640 MB of RAM
I can only run the game in 800x600, it won't run any other way. Smoothing
is disabled which really bites.
But reflections, shadows and most of the other stuff works fine. I turn off
shadows tho, as they get in my way.
The game is pretty good in build or buy mode, but sim mode it lags pretty
bad, even with just one person on the lot.
I've heard you can cut down on what xp uses for idling, but have no idea how
to do that. I also have a memory tool that helps me regain memory and I
have a program that will give priority to the sims. But on that last one,
the sims has to be running for me to assign the priority 🙁
