Sabertooth 990fx issue

So I got this motherboard a 8150 and some 6870's from a friend and everything is working as it should. However I have to either mem test or clear CMOS on every startup or I'll get a black screen. Sometimes the VGA led will be lit other times not. I was able to do a whole new install of win7 with drivers from asus.have ripped everything out to trouble shoot. Bios revision is 1604. When I mem test or clear I can boot right into windows after forcing the bios to boot my hdd. However if I restart I get a black screen

how many sticks of ram are you running? Have you tried one stick then seeing if it boots normal, also when you say black screen is the monitor on with a black screen or is there not even a signal getting through?

Would suspect memory is your issue. Go to www.memtest86.com, download the ISO and burn it to a DVD. Boot to it and let it make at least three passes testing the memory for errors. If that checks out, I would suggest trying a different PSU.

Even if I can get it to boot fine into the os? Like this is how it would go. Clear CMOS and boot. F1 into the bios and force it to boot the main drive. Windows stars lalala do what I have to do shut down. Go to boot again no signal at all to the monitor. Cut the power reset cmos rinse repete
