What was the price prior to tariffs? Do I assume/infer recommended?

For comparison, in the UK it's showing currently as a 15% discount on Amazon, £19.99.

I bought one in July 2022, used it last weekend coincidentally and it cost £29.99 back then. It's a good bit of kit, very solid feeling and the clamshell design means you can't corrupt data by accidentally leaving it plugged in when you change drives - you have to remove the USB cable to open the case up enough. I also like the screwdriver-less locking screw.
