Specs
CPU- Ryzen 7 2700X
AIO- ML360R Cooler Master
Mobo- ASRock b450 Steel legend
PSU- Corsair CX500
GPU- Msi Gaming X rx480 8gb

looking for a fairly safe overclock Mostly for gaming. Just curious what kind of performance I could get.

thanks for any estimates/ assistance

Solution
These AMD chips are already clocked to max 4.2Ghz is something you will get with PBO on or at least 4.1Ghz at times. Safer to do that then to add bunch of voltage for 100Mhz lol. Also no you wont see a difference in performance as your 480 is a aging video card. What is more important then a 100Mhz OC and instability is to grab a new video card as AMD is cheap. You can get a 580 or 5700XT. Save up for that instead of stressing about a overclock which is pointless and what not.

My was doing 4.25GHz with 1.375v and up to 72c, over that it just wasn't reliable. That's on same MB and cooler.

Yeah. I’ll most likely be picking up a new GPU in November. Was running the Stock cooler but then the fan stop spinning so I went big
