I don't know how else to explain this but after just updating the drivers of my graphics card i get the option in the notifications tray to press to safely "remove" the graphics card just as if it was a USB stick; http://i.imgur.com/oE3y09k.png

I have never seen this before. It doesn't go away after rebooting either and i scared to press it which sounds silly.

i would say search for "dxdiag" in windows and run that. send me a screenshot of what you get. it could be a GPU bought from an unreliable seller.

Clicking it 'ejects' the card but it remounts pretty much instantly.

Its part of the new update for added support for external Thunderbolt 3 GPUs but for some reason it shows it for all GPUs and not just GPUs connected through Thunderbolt.

There is no need to panic, yet. Heh.

Do you know if they will be removing it or is it already a way to remove it? I don't want it there.

I'm pretty confident its not intended to work this way.

I have not checked their forums but i'm sure end users over there are up in arms about this.

It's gone now after the last driver update came out.
