Question Sager W230SS laptop with new keyboard - - - - keys do not register unless pressed very hard ?

Hello world,

I have an older Sager W230SS laptop with a brand new keyboard. Some of the keys do not register unless pressed very hard. As expected, this makes it rather annoying when typing. Any idea on what could be the issue? The keyboard it replaced was doing the exact same thing which is disappointing. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and it has a fresh install of Windows 10. Thanks in advance.

Can you use a keyboard peripherally to see if it works?

Yes, a peripheral keyboard works great. It makes me think the new keyboard could also be faulty which is disappointing. I've uninstalled and re-installed the keyboard driver but the same issue. Any other ideas?
