[SOLVED] same fps in 1080p as 720p

Hello everyone, so recently i started playing Ring of Elysium in my low end system , which still meets the recommended system requirements and i notice that i get the same Frame rate in 720p resolution as well as 1080 ( ranges from 50-65) Any ideas why this happens? Thank you in advance.

System: cpu: Fx-6300 vishera
Ram : 8gb
Mobo: Asustek m5A78L-m LX3
Gpu: Ati AMD Radeon R9 270x at 2048MB

The CPU determines your fps and resolution does not matter to the CPU. So your CPU is pushing as far as it can go at 720p. Upping the resolution to 1080p does not change the fact. That is why you are seeing the same fps at either resolution.
