I have three PCs and two are from the same manufacturer and one isn’t.

I have roughly the same programmes and games installed - pretty much identical game wise apart from Among Us lol. All Windows 11.

First PC shows as 795gb free of 951gb.
Other shows as 769gb free of 928gb.
New PC shows as 785gb free of 951gb. (Same manufacturer as first PC, model up).

So between first PC and new PC I have 10GB difference in storage space even though storage settings has been taken into account with temporary files and nearly identical progs & games.

Bit of a noob when it comes to tech, is this strange or does configs and Windows sometimes take up more / less - formatting etc?

Odd how new PC has 10GB difference to older gen.

Normal?

Multiple possible reasons...

pagefile
Hibernation
Temp files
DLC in the games
Windows updates, both installed and 'in waiting'

"nearly identical" is not...identical.
From the first moment you turn a PC on, it is no longer identical to a PC that came off the assembly line right after, with the 'same' components and software.

If you're really interested...
Install and run either WinDirStat, or WizTree.

Run as Administrator, selecting only the drive in question.
Post a screencap here.

Also, a screencap of your Disk Management window.

But really, this is a non-issue.
10GB in a 1TB drive is a 1% difference.

If it’s a non-issue then I won’t worry, just new to understanding it all even though I have three PCs.

Thanks for the help. 🙏

Does this Disk Management look normal? Thanks.
