Samsung 171 mp

I just got my 171mp, and it works great except I cant go any higher than 1024x768. The slider will go no higher. I installed the latest Samsung drivers, for the 171 mp. I am running Win ME with 384 meg ram, my vid card is gforce 256 DDR w/32meg, running the latest whql nvidia drivers (30 something). I am running the adaptor at 60 hz. The panel looks great at 1024 but I really want it at 1280. Could this be a limitation of my geforce? Thanks in advance. BTW, Samsung says its not the monitor.

No it's not your monitor, likely your video card. I have the Samsung SyncMaster 181T, w/ Radeon 8500 AIW, my Radeon 8500 AIW allows me to go up to 2048 by 1536 pixels, and my Samsung SyncMaster 181T lets me go up to 1280 by 1024 pixels.
