Hey guys. I'm in the process of a new gaming/light programming build. I have to choose the best bang-for-the-buck SSD between the following (ONLY from Amazon):
-Samsung 840 EVO 250GB ($109)
-Crucial MX100 256GB ($110)
-Crucial M500 240GB ($90)
-SanDisk Ultra II 240GB ($85)
-Corsair LX 256GB ($116)

Which one would you suggest me to go for? Why?

Thanks in advance!

All will perform the same in a desktop environment.
I vote for the Samsung evo.
1. Samsung makes all their parts and can better validate them for reliability.
2. Samsung has a rapid mode cache manager for their drives that can boost performance.

840 EVO
Currently, from Amazon or Newegg, that includes Far Cry 4 for free.

I bought one yesterday.

I usually use the Samsung SSDs, because I believe they are probably better quality drives.

That being said, I have been using Crucial memory in my system builds for over 15 years.

Recently, I setup a rotating external SSD backup system for a client. I tried to order 2 of the Samsung drives, but NewEgg was out of them, so I used the Crucial drives instead, and I have been very pleased with they way they have worked so far.

I'm not familiar with the SanDisk SSDs.

It probably doesn't really matter which one you choose, as geofelt said.

Thanks. I couldn't find a reason to pay the extra $30 for that SSD but now you gave me one.
