This thing I feel like has been buggy since the very beginning. Not sure if this is how normally SSD's are supposed to be. I finally was forced to reformat it, and now I can't install windows 10 via USB ISO. Error message

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks".

I've tried various fixes I found online such as the cmd disk clean up, write mbr, and going into partition manager, and or this pc and formatting. Tried hooking it up to other laptops around the house to force it, no luck.

I don't know about Windows 10 because I will never install it. You need to access DISKPART. This will allow you to "clean" the disk of all configuration information. After that your windows install disj generally converts the disk to GPT during installation

Have a read of this - it may solve your problem.

This might also be of some value, though they are pushing their own product...

Good Luck

During your reinstall:
Boot from your install media
When it asks where, select Custom
Delete ALL existing partitions, leaving one large space
Format that as GPT.
Continue, letting Windows create what it needs.

Yea I tried both of the suggestions listed above, for some reason it still wouldn't accept it even though I specifically formatted as GPT. After converting it to GTP, a new error emerged saying it couldn't find a partition. Then I went into CMD and did some other disk partitioning to create one recognizable, when that still didn't work I just deleted the entire thing and then somehow it miraculously works now.
