Samsung 850 Evo Install help.

Hello,

I'm kinda new to pc installations, so I was wondering if people here could help me with this.
I currently bought a samsung evo 850 500gb to add more space to my Computer, since it's running out. I installed the samsung magician app, but it doesn't recognize my 850. It only says: Mass Storage USB Device (465.76gb)
I don't know what to do next, any help would very much appreciated.

I know, but I'm kinda lost on what to do next.

put stuff on it move files you want too run faster that you access all the time on your old HDD or if you want as a boot drive which would improve system speed by a fair bit use the Samsung app cant remember the name to clone the drive

It shouldn't be a USB device. It should say Samsung SSD 500GB ATA or local drive :XX or whatever the drive letter is.

well you have plugged it in with a sata cable ??

Is this an external drive like this? If so, it's just a portable USB external SSD drive. Use it as an ordinary storage drive.
