Samsung 850 Evo m.2 ssd isnt showing up

So I just bought this drive, I don't want to boot from it as I already have a SSD OS drive , just want this drive for games and storage. I cannot see this device in bios or windows or Samsung manager. my mother is a gigabyte soc champion with the newest bios f22, I've scoured the bios and cant see to find the setting to turn on the M.2 drive. I can only hope i'm just doing something wrong and its not DOA! Thanks for any help.

And whats the ssd with windows on it??PCI-E? a normal hdd ?? Another ssd?

Also note an M.2 ssd can disable other sata ports

the other ssd is a samsung 840 evo 250gig on sata 0

I would check the manual to see if an M.2 disables ports.

If it disables the port the boot ssd is in, you'll have to move it to another port

the manual sucks all it says is that it disables Esata when used but stat 5/6 is good, doesn't say diddly squat about the bios.

maybe a 1tb m.2 isnt supported by the mobo.

That 850 evo is a sata m.2 the board wants a 960 evo nvme four lane pci express ssd that will use two lanes due to that 20G (four lane is 32G)

Alright well i guess i learned an expensive lesson then, can i just buy some type of adapter to fix this?
