samsung 860 1TB sata M.2 not showing in BIOS

i have just bought the 860 EVO 1TB from samsung but it is not showing in bios or or disc management.

the drive is installed correctly (at least i hope so, see pic)

what should I do?
what changes should i do in BIOS?
please be specific and point by point (total noob here)

If you did that and it still isn't recognized then try testing the Samsung 860 EVO SATA M.2 1TB in another system to confirm whether or not the SSD is defective.

Another hint as to M.2 SSD compatibility is given in the Motherboard Manual:

- 1 x M.2 Socket 3 with M Key, type 2260/2280 storage devices support (supports PCIE SSD only)

Your Samsung 860 EVO is M.2 SATA not M.2 PCIE.

ASUS lists the M.2 PCIe SSDs that they've tested with the ASUS Z97-A/USB 3.1 here in their QVL:

I don't see any M.2 SATA SSDs in that QVL.

the BIOS updated to the latest version
i forgot to add that i changed the " PCI Express slot and M2 Bandwidth" into "m2 mode"

still not showing 🙁
