Drive: 4TB Samsung 870 EVO
File System: ext4
The drive is being used within QNAP QTS. Running a "Performance Test" i get IOPS Read: 5953 (Sequential Read: 528MB/s). Keep in mind the drive is almost full. I recently picked up a second 4TB Samsung 870 EVO. Added it to the NAS (it is in a linear raid with the first) then performed a separate test on the drive -- IOPS Read: 99691 (Sequential Read: 539.83 MB/s). The NAS uses SATA3 for all bays.
Why is the one drive way down at 5953? Is this the result of a nearly full drive even though i'm only performing an IOPS read. The drives are not being accessed at this time.
