Question Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe slow write speeds

Hey, I built my first pc a few months back, with the following specs:
Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI)
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
RAM: 16 GB
I only have 1 drive for storage, a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe 1 TB. When running benchmarks, I noticed that while the read speeds are as expected, the write speeds are much lower (see attached screenshots). I've tried a variety of things, including disabling RAM caching and write caching, changing the PCIe lanes to x4, and installing NVMe drivers. I also verified that the drive is in the correct M.2 slot on the motherboard. However, the benchmarks don't seem to have changed, except for on userbenchmark, where the drive performance actually decreased greatly. Is there anything that I missed, and should I revert some of the changes I made? Thanks.

Please don't use Userbench to tell you/us that something is wrong. That site shouldn't even exist to begin with. On a side note, you need to mention your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Then verify that you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard.

Alright, thanks for the tips.
Specs are:
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO Z390
Ram: 16 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 C14
SSD/HDD: Samsung 970 EVO NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 Founder's Edition
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2
Chassis: Thermaltake View 71
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
I just updated the BIOS to the latest version.
