I bought two of these drives last summer to go in a Highpoint Tech SSD7104 card. Mirrored pair. Mission critical application.
One of them failed.
Contacted Samsung about these failed drives.
Was informed that Samsung will NOT do advanced replacements. Took several days to get to this answer.
Finally I get an RMA out of them after numerous emails. Bought two new drives from Amazon so I could continue operating my company.
Samsung took over a month to return the drives. They initially sent one back in a plain brown box (no retail package). It took numerous more emails to get them to admit they had not shipped me back both drives. Another week or so to get another drive which showed up in a retail package.
Meanwhile Amazon closed the return window.
So now I'm stuck with $700 of drives I don't need, 1 is in a retail package , the other in a plain brown box and now Amazon has dropped the price of the drives by another $100 so I can't get my money out of them even by selling them.
I will NEVER buy another Samsung drive due to their horrible service and lack of advance replacements.
