Review Samsung 990 EVO 2TB SSD Review: A Hybrid Drive for a Hybrid Time

A bit off topic but you guys should review the optane P1600X now that it's on flash sale. It's the fastest m.2 OS drive u can buy and im getting qd1 random reads (~115k IOPS) slightly ABOVE the $2000+ P5800X while it's got my OS installed on it too lmao. It's tiny capacity wise so i basically view it as a $50 performance improver. I was seeing ~10 second faster boots than my WD sn850x after installing things, system performance feels moderately faster but most importantly i basically never get the minor-moderate stutters, hitches or slowdowns in the system anymore. ALso it'ss exceptional as virtual memory or a level 2 cache if u partion like 32gb off for a slower drive like i have. If u want the best this + a gen 4 drive will provide massively more real world improvement than a gen 5 drive will for a similar price.

I think the debate over the Magician software working or not is over.
Some people think it is completely broken, others not.

I will certainly direct anyone who asks me about which SSDs to purchase to the link yeyibi shared re: issues with Magician. I will share my own experiences as well. Computers and components are finicky, and certain setups for whatever reason have their own issues. I personally have had the most issues with Apple crap, which is funny considering they are a captive vendor with much less third party crossover, where everything should be optimized and should probably work with little issue

Ehh, DRAMless.

I can find a Phison or Silicon Motion-based unit from a reputable vendor that will compete with this on price and work the way I want.
