Samsung b1930 resolution settings

Hello,
i have samsung syncmaster b1930 lcd monitor, when i connect it with external tv tuner , it displays error "not optimum mode recommended mode 1360x768 60 hz,please tell me how to change resolution without windows.

You have to set the resolution of the desktop/tuner card to 720 lines vertical
