Thank you for making this comment, I was about to reply him with the same freaking thing.
I saw a lot of people with ifone 4/4s/5 calling out how Samsung uses "cheap" plastics. And I say, how is my plastic phone compare to your cheap $5-Chinatown-bought-phone-case that was made with cheaper plastic?
They all love their glass and aluminum back, but they LOVE to protect their phones with CHEAP cases/bumpers.

Guys/gals, there is indeed a difference between putting a plastic/rubber bumper on a $200+ phone and the casing of the phone itself being made out of the aforementioned plastic/rubber. I won't go into why so as not to patronize. I'm not defending Apple and their iPhone 5's beer-can-grade aluminum but all else being the same I'd rather have a phone or laptop with a case using with the grade of aluminum that Apple uses in their MacBook Pro line than the grade of plastic that most other manufacturers use in their phones and laptops. This is personal preference, I'm just trying to help you see the other side of the fence.

[citation][nom]olaf[/nom]a laptop is a laptop i don't see a lot of people putting plastic cases on laptops[/citation]
MacBook are the only laptops I've seen shell-cases for and there are plastic ones (See Speck or MacAlley). I imagine a lot if people would put a case on their expensive $1,500+ laptops if they had the option but I guess there's too many models of laptop out there for Speck, et al. to be bothered.

Ahem: I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubble on this manufactured PR story, but Brand Keys is a "brand building" firm. As noted on the Brand Keys Web site, Samsung is a Brand Keys client. So much for this "study". Bull.

You are making an assumption that everyone uses a case. I have an iPhone 4S and I have never used a case with it.

You are making an assumption that eveyone with an iPhone uses a case. I have an iPhone 4s and I have never put a case on it.

How do you keep your investment looking new w/out a case? Do you use Zagg Invisible Shield?
